INGREDIENTS:

• 1/2 c. butter
• 1/2 c. sugar
• 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
• 1 egg
• 2 tbsp. cream
• 1 tsp. vanilla extract
• 2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 c. walnuts, finely chopped

DIRECTIONS:

• Cream butter with sugars. Add egg, cream and vanilla, and beat
• well. Sift flour with baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Add to
• batter gradually, mixing well after each addition. Stir in nuts.
• Pinch off pieces the size of a small walnut and roll in the palms of
• the hands until as big around as a pencil. Bake at 350 degrees
• about 12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
