Cranberry Nut Loaf $0.00


INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp. orange peel, grated
  • 3/4 c. orange juice
  • 1 1/2 c. fresh cranberries, chopped
  • 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

DIRECTIONS:

  • Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda in a large
  • bowl. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Add egg, orange peel
  • and orange juice all at once; stir just until mixture is evenly
  • moist. Fold in cranberries and walnuts. Spoon into a 9 x 5 x 3
  • inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes or
  • until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan
  • and cool on a wire rack.
