INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 sm. pkg. chopped dates
  • 1 tsp. oleo
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

DIRECTIONS:

  • Combine sugar, milk, dates and oleo. Stir and bring to boil. Let
  • cook to soft ball stage. Remove from heat, add salt, vanilla and
  • nuts. Beat until very thick. Pour a thin strip onto a clean tea
  • towel, roll in towel. Let cool and slice thin.
