Deep Dish Pizza $0.00


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 loaf frozen white bread dough
  • 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce or pizza
  • sauce
  • 1 can canned tomatoes, chopped and
  • well drained (optional)
  • Pepperoni or browned and drained
  • sausage or ground beef
  • 1/3 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/3 c. chopped onions
  • 1/3 c. chopped mushrooms
  • 1/3 c. sliced ripe olives, optional
  • 12 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp. oregano
  • Salt and pepper

DIRECTIONS:

  • Thaw dough according to package directions. Shape into a ball.
  • Roll out to a 12 inch circle or shape to fit a baking dish. Grease
  • pizza pan or 13 x 9 inch pan. Place dough in dish and pat out to
  • edges. Dough will be springy. Let rest for 15 to 20 minutes and
  • pat out to edges again (repeat if necessary). Combine tomatoes and
  • tomato sauce or pizza sauce. Set aside. When dough fits pan, make
  • a ridge. Do not make holes in dough. Prebake crust for about 8 to
  • 10 minutes at 425 degrees. Spread with tomato mixture and meat.
  • Sprinkle with pepper, onions and mushrooms. Place Mozzarella cheese
  • on top. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, oregano, salt and pepper.
  • Bake at 450 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Cut in wedges. (Cooper)
