A Devil Of A Squid $0.00


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 c. minced carrot
  • 1/3 c. minced celery
  • 2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped tomato, peeled and
  • seeded
  • 1/2 c. chopped fresh basil
  • 3 tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. fresh ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. dried red pepper flakes
  • 2 lbs. squid, cleaned and sliced 3/4
  • inch
  • Freshly cooked pasta

DIRECTIONS:

  • Saute carrot, celery and garlic in olive oil in medium skillet
  • over low heat until tender about 20 minutes. Increase heat to
  • medium low. Add chopped tomato, basil, tomato paste and seasonings
  • and simmer until sauce is very thick. About 20 minutes. Reduce
  • heat to low. Add squid and simmer until cooked through, stirring
  • frequently, 10 to 12 minutes. Spoon over pasta and serve
  • immediately.
