Cooking For Us believes strongly in supporting the world in which we live. In doing so, Cooking for Us has formed a team for the World Community Grid. If you aren’t familiar with the World Community Grid, here is a quote from their about page:

Our work has developed the technical infrastructure that serves as the grid's foundation for scientific research. Our success depends upon individuals collectively contributing their unused computer time to change the world for the better."
So, if you would like to use your computer to help us to fight cancer and AIDS, please do the following:
1. Download the World Community Grid software.

2. Create an account with World Community Grid.
When you run the program for the first time, you will create an
account.
3. Set up the program to run as a screen saver.
In the Preferences tab click on "Run only as Screen Saver"
4. Join our Team. http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewSearchTeams.do
(Type in Cooking For Us as the team name, and then join it.)
Every time your computer’s screen saver comes on it will use your spare CPU cycles to support the fight against cancer and AIDS by trying to find ways to beat these problems. Cooking for Us does not receive any benefit from the formation of a team other than the peace of mind that we are helping where we can. Thanks for participating!
