INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 tbsp. flour (level spoons)
  • Rind and juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 egg

DIRECTIONS:

  • Mix sugar and flour; add lemon juice and rind. Stir in
  • well-beaten egg. Cook over low heat until it thickens. Stir
  • continuously while cooking. This makes a filling and icing for a
  • 2-layer cake.
