Thank you for your interest in writing for the cookingfor.us website. We are looking for writers to write a weekly or biweekly column about food, cooking or dieting. We are looking for unique viewpoints each writer can provide on food, cooking and dieting. Please read the following sections and decide if this project is right for you. We look forward to hearing from you.

Read over the topic items listed below. Please email us back with some background information on yourself and how you might best represent the specific topic below that you chose. We will be looking for a half page to a page per week or every two weeks on the topic you chose to write on. Including a picture with your article is also welcomed. We will also need a current photo to associate with your section should we decide to publish your work.
Some topics we are interested in including:
Vegetarian/Vegan - Are you a vegetarian or vegan? We are looking for writers to write about the triumphs and tribulations on eating veggie or vegan lifestyles. Can you provide a weekly or biweekly discussion on real world experiences in being veggie or vegan?
Family Cooking - Do you have a family of three or more people you cook at least one meal for on a daily basis? Can you write a weekly or biweekly article on how you cook for three or more people every day? What unique viewpoint can you offer on this subject?
Diet Specific - Are you currently on a popular diet? Can you provide a weekly or biweekly synopsis on the trials and tribulations of trying to stick to this specific diet?
Meat Lover - Do you now your meats forward and backward? Can you guide other people through interesting dishes prepared with meat? Do you have a unique viewpoint to provide on a weekly or biweekly basis regarding meat?
Fast Food - Do you eat out a majority of meals on a daily basis? Can you provide a weekly or biweekly article on ways to eat out in a moderately healthy fashion? Can you provide the do’s and don’ts of eating out?
Unique Articles - Do you have a unique viewpoint or idea not listed above? Please describe the viewpoint you wish to pursue and describe the longevity of the topic that can be explored on a weekly or biweekly basis.
PAYMENT

Currently we cannot provide cash payment. Since we are in the launch phase of the website, all money will be going to development of the website and advertising. Does this mean if you are with us through the launch that you won’t ever get paid? No. We value the contribution of writers and feel their content will be very valuable to the site. The site must become profitable and then we can start paying each writer in cash for their work. We will most definitely support writers that see us through the launch and into profitability.
For current compensation we are proposing the following arrangement. Each article that is written can be accompanied by an amazon honor system button with a statement specifying that all writers on the site rely on public support. Alternatively, a writer may put a link to an amazon wish list and ask for support through purchases to support their writing. Also, on a limited basis we will provide links to other sites if it is a site owned by the writer that will help promote payment of their work for cookingfor.us.
The goal is to provide a rich content of writers on various subjects and to rapidly promote the site throughout the internet over the next six to eight weeks. As soon as we become profitable, we will provide specific rates on how much we will pay per article to our currently contributing writers.
