Spaghetti Sauce $0.00


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 qt. canned tomatoes
  • 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 chopped green pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp. sugar, optional
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONS:

  • Heat olive oil in saucepan over medium high heat. Saute onion,
  • green pepper and garlic for 2 minutes. Add tomatoes, including
  • liquid. Break up tomatoes as you stir. Add tomato paste and stir
  • to combine. Add soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, basil and
  • sugar (if tomatoes are bitter). Simmer over low heat for at least
  • 1/2 hour (1 to 2 hours is better). Add Parmesan cheese and simmer
  • another 10 minutes. Serve over cooked spaghetti noodles and top
  • with more Parmesan cheese.
